Dark Souls is a hardcore action RPG developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco. Since its initial release on September 22, 2011, the series has seen a cult following. The series has had 2 instalments, with a third on the way.
The Dark Souls series is notorious for putting players up against a difficulty wall, while also having a deep story with a myriad of lore. Tho story is mainly told through in-game item descriptions and through NPC dialogue, meaning that it is possible to miss a large portion of story to understand what is going on.
